This multi-video installation explores the power dynamics of digital surveillance through an auto-ethnographic lens, focusing on the gendered and sexualized nature of the digital gaze. Drawing from research on non-consensual image sharing, the work questions how agency and self-representation are easily stripped away in digital environments.
The installation features 4 video projections that mimic the aesthetics of hidden cameras and surveillance footage, evoking the discomfort of being watched and the loss of control over one’s image. Working with projection mapping and varying projection dimensions, the work immerses the viewer in a fragmented, over-exposed digital presence—highlighting the tension between visibility, consent, and exposure.
